About us

We pride ourselves on providing specialised and quality services to our clients, ensuring that projects are completed on-time and within budget. The safety of our workforce is our priority.

About the opportunity

Minprovise is working on some exciting fabrication projects and we need Workshop Fabricators & Welders to … uh … produce some high-quality welding and fabricating. We are looking for a few Workshop Fabricators & Welders to work with us. Permanent positions will be on offer to those who are the beez kneez at their jobs.

You are likely to have a human resources office jockey call you, if you have the following:

  • Legit commitment and dedication to safety
  • Australian or equivalent Trade Qualification
  • The ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings – and for welders, the ability to interpret Australian standard welding symbols
  • Experience with fabrication and/or welding of plate and chutes
  • The ability to pass 3G/4G FCAW weld test to AS 1554.1sp
  • Current & unrestricted drivers’ licence

  • A good amount of experience working in high risk jobs or heavy industries like mining, metal trades and construction
  • Peak physical condition – you don’t need to be hitting the gym in lycra every day, but you need to be able to cope with the physical demands of the job
  • The ability to pass a drug & alcohol and pre-employment fitness assessment
  • (not essential) but if you have experience with stainless steel, pressure vessel welding or fabrication, you will go to the top of the pack.

What’s in it for our new employees?

  • Around 68 hours of work per week – working a combination of either days, nights, weekdays and weekends
  • Competitive remuneration
  • The opportunity to work in a state of the art, well kitted out fabrication workshop in Welshpool
  • A fully equipped kitchen with café standard coffee and snacks
