About the opportunity

This is a rare gem of an opportunity that requires a rare gem of a Planning Manager. As one of the main head honchos of Minprovise’s Site Services division, the Planning Manager is an authentic leader, who sets the scene for our labour scoping and estimating, mobilisation and compliance and planning functions. The Planning Manager we are looking for has their finger on the pulse of labour planning technology, they value reporting and they are driven by statistics and goals. Our Planning Manager possesses the perfect combination of operational and strategic thinking. They understand how a robust strategy supports delivers internal and external customer engagement and supports the growth of Minprovise’s business.

  • You are a true leader – you lead by example and you have an in-depth understanding of all things relating to labour compliance and planning. You’ve scheduled a few 1,000 crew members in your time!
  • Your commercial prowess in projects or shutdown maintenance delivery shines when you interpret agreements, estimate labour costs and deliver outstanding options for bids and tenders – creating win/win outcomes for Minprovise and our clients;
  • You deliver and execute bids on time and within budget, proactively engaging with key stakeholders and fostering unshakable customer relationships;
  • You manage commercial variations and cost control like clockwork;
  • You have a solid understanding and respect for Health & Safety and you get how to make it happen; and
  • You are an excellent communicator – written and in person. You are able to create simple, easy to follow documents and you are able to influence your key stakeholders;

This is a permanent, full-time role, typically be working Monday to Friday, with regular ventures to our projects and sites.

What you will need to be the person for the job

Ideally, you have university qualifications in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance or a similar discipline. You have a minimum of 5 years’ working at a management level in projects or shutdown maintenance delivery. You are a commercial and numbers guru, with demonstrated contract negotiation and interpretation skills. MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is a must. Attention to detail, with a strategic mindset, will definitely impress!
